
Executive Director
Executive Director Sheri Donahue is a dedicated leader with extensive experience in strategic partnerships, community engagement, and support services. Her background includes years of volunteer work in health and community organizations, leadership roles in cyber security and intelligence at Commonwealth Sentinel, the US Navy, Humana, and FBI InfraGard, and a BS in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University. Sheri has received multiple awards from the FBI, US Navy and US Army and served on several boards, notably InfraGard National and the Purdue Engineering Alumni Association. She is committed to expanding Friend for Life’s reach, strengthening the organization’s volunteer network, and ensuring those affected by cancer receive compassionate peer support.

Lori Beth ‘LB’ Miller has a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and decades of experience in higher education and student advocacy. However, after joining Friend for Life in 2018 as a Peer Navigator, her passion of serving students pivoted to serving individuals who are facing cancer or supporting a loved one through a cancer treatment journey. Actively involved as a Consumer Reviewer for the Breast Cancer Research Program in conjunction with the Department of Defense, a member of the Survivorship Leadership Council, and TrailBlazers Support Group, LB is always eager to champion a worthy cause. She is an avid fan of the outdoors and loves spending time on the water. She has taught self-defense courses since 2002, where she loves to empower women. She lives in Lexington with her husband, Brian, and as a duo are always up for an adventure.

Past Executive Director
Judy Kasey Houlette served as a volunteer with Friend for Life from 1999 to 2000 and as Executive Director from November 2000 to November 2025. She will always treasure her time with the organization and especially the many people she came to know and love. Judy will continue to serve as a resource for Friend for Life as needed.
